Netcel develops a wild and wonderful ecommerce site for publishing house, EM Books

Netcel has launched a new and improved website for Evans Mitchell Books (EM Books), the independent UK book publisher, which specialises in high quality photographic, cookery and wildlife books.

Netcel was appointed to create a new web presence for EM Books in order to raise its profile with its target audiences, to better communicate its product information to customers, to sell books online and to provide a general channel for fielding enquiries and catalogue requests.

EM Books, part of Senate Publishing group, wanted the redeveloped site to reflect the broadening types of titles commissioned, and to fully exhibit the stunning photography in a sophisticated and stylish manner. The new visual design is clean, crisp and modern, and provides the high impact sought without any fuss or clutter. The site usability enables customers to browse and navigate around the site with ease - there is clear categorisation and layout of products within the design. The ecommerce solution offers quick and easy shopping and online payment for both retailers and public alike, and simple but effective features such as a light box in the shopping basket to assist the user experience.

The site provides a great showcase for EM Books publications, both their well known wildlife monographs and their entertainment titles that now include Sinatra Frank and Friendly and the recently published Eltonography: a Life in Pictures.

Netcel is also responsible for ongoing digital marketing including SEO in order to maximise the new site's potential and success, measured by monitoring site activity (traffic, downloads, enquiries) and sales processed or generated via the new website.
