The National Database for Accredited Qualifications website is relaunched by Netcel

17th September 2007

The new NDAQ website has been launched following redesign and site development by Netcel.  NDAQ – The National Database for Accredited Qualifications - contains details of all qualifications that are accredited by the government’s regulatory organisations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  The site provides detailed information on qualifications to both educational professionals and members of the public alike.

Following a competitive tender, Netcel was selected to work alongside the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA) project team to provide design and front-end site development services in partnership with the QCA’s in-house developers.  Following a usability audit conducted by specialist usability agency, the Web Usability Partnership (WUP), Netcel set about redesigning the site interface, layout and information architecture based on the recommendations of the usability audit.  In addition, the site needed to achieve high levels of accessibility, browser and platform compatibility and code compatibility.  Tight deadlines were met through the close coordination of Netcel’s appointed Project Manager.

The new site provides users with huge improvements in usability through more intuitive design, information architecture and site functionality.  Users can now browse or search for qualifications based on various search criteria.  The project was hailed as a success by the QCA’s project team.
