Spillers web site relaunched by Netcel following redevelopment in EPiServer CMS

Spillers, the leading horse feed producer, has relaunched its website following a complete redesign and redevelopment by Netcel.
Spillers needed a website to match its long heritage and trusted position as UK market leader in equestrian nutrition. The company was formed in the 1950's and since then has extended its geographical coverage to include many European countries as well as the USA and the Middle East. Spillers is owned by Mars Inc and is the official supplier to British Equestrian Teams including the British Olympic Team.
Following extensive planning the site was completely redeveloped by Netcel. The user interface was redesigned to tie-in with Spillers existing offline marketing material while the page layout provides flexibility for future expansion. A new information architecture was defined to address the needs of Spillers' wide range of customers, from youngsters with ponies purchasing horse treats through to professional riders and stable owners purchasing top nutritional products. EPiServer CMS was selected as the content management system for the site, allowing non-technical staff at Spillers to quickly and easily update all site content.
The resulting content-rich site includes product information, stockist details, industry news via RSS feeds and equestrian events. Site search functionality allows customers to quickly find information within the site. While the thousands of members of Spillers Diamond Club loyalty scheme can login to benefit from discounted shopping, personalised content, competitions and members services such as updating account details online.
