Digital Traffic & Scheduling Manager

We are looking for a Digital Traffic & Scheduling Manager to provide vital support to our highly experienced Delivery team. You will be accountable for the end-to-end resource management across our professional and managed services to maximise the billable utilisation of our team and ensure we deliver on time, on budget and to a high-quality standard.

Location: Flexible, Hybrid (with offices based in St Albans, Hertfordshire)

Your Role

Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for scheduling, assigning and capacity planning across our professional and managed services. You will enjoy liaising with the team to identify the critical business priorities to solve complex work allocation problems across multiple clients and workstreams. The work we do is fluid and ever-changing, so you need to enjoy this challenge and be able to bring the structure and control required to allow us to maximise the utilisation of our team and enable us to hit our deadlines.  

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Working across multiple stakeholders to resource over 40 employees, key partners, contractors & associates effectively on client work.  
  • Continually managing our project pipeline to identify and resolve potential over and under capacity issues according to these business priorities. 
  • Managing our key resource partner, contractor and associate relationships.  
  • Providing our commercial function with a view of resource availability to support future sales opportunities.  
  • Working closely with our People department to build our flexible resource pool & provide input on how to build our team capabilities to best fit the work we need to deliver.  
  • Managing and developing our resource management system to ensure it is fit for purpose for both now and the future.  
  • Managing timesheets across the team to ensure accuracy and timely submissions each month.  
  • Coaching the team on our resource and timesheet management tools, and promoting best practice methods.  
  • Reporting on key resource management KPIs including headcount, capacity, utilisation and billable time. 

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Several years' experience within a Digital Scheduling/Traffic/Resource Manager role in an agency or product consultancy. 
  • The ability to solve complex work allocation problems in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  • Experience using resourcing software such as Kantata.
  • A calm and approachable manner.
  • Confidence to influence change.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills, being able to understand the needs of the business and have both client and our team’s best interests in mind.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Salary £40,000 - £45,000 per annum 
  • Full time – 37.5 hours, full time is preferred, but we are open to part time
