Business Development Manager

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager who has experience with long sales cycles to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Location: Flexible, Hybrid (with offices based in St Albans, Hertfordshire)

Your Role

To support the development and execution of Netcel's business strategy, growth and expansion plans, we are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager who has experience with long sales cycles to identify and develop new business opportunities. Your involvement will be crucial in advancing business growth, as you actively manage pre-sales tasks and nurture the generation of leads.  

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Generating new business leads through consistent prospecting activity, including personalised emails, LinkedIn prospecting and phone calls. 
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all sales prospects and customer interactions within our Salesforce CRM system, building a strong pipeline.  
  • Collaborating closely with the Marketing team to create and develop promotional materials and digital content to support new business development efforts, maximising our sales opportunities. 
  • Participating in networking events and industry conferences to promote and expand Netcel’s presence.  
  • Proactively manage incoming calls and enquiries initiated by potential clients. 
  • Explore and analyse sales metrics, market trends and competitor activity to identify areas of potential growth. 
  • Completing the Business Development dashboard and presenting monthly progress reports.  
  • Being fully accountable for achieving target leads. 

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Previous experience in a B2B new business development role based on long sales cycles. 
  • Deep understanding of sales strategy, from lead nurturing to developing client relationships. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and confidence in proactively engaging with new potential clients.   
  • A proven track record of reaching lead generation and qualification targets. 
  • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage leads and track client activities and communications.  
  • Proven experience of working with people at all levels including communicating at Board level  
  • Ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders and decision makers. 
  • A proactive and optimistic attitude, aiming to exceed sales targets. 
  • A growth mindset, someone who can turn challenges into opportunities.
     

Desirable 

  • Experience of working in a new business development lead generation role in a digital sales/tech environment. 
  • Salesforce CRM exposure 
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

    • We are open to 30 hours spread over 5 days per week, or full time 37.5 hours. 
    • Salary £45,000 (OTE £55,000)
