Business Development Manager

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager who has experience with long sales cycles to identify and develop new business opportunities. You will be responsible for generating new business leads, prospect nurture, lead qualification and new business reporting

Location: Flexible, Hybrid (with offices based in St Albans, Hertfordshire)

Basic Salary: £50,000 per annum, OTE £60,000 per annum

Your Role

To support the development and execution of Netcel's business strategy, growth and expansion plans, we are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager who has experience with long sales cycles to identify and develop new business opportunities. You will be responsible for generating new business leads, prospect nurture, lead qualification and new business reporting. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Consistent prospecting activity included LinkedIn prospecting, emails, calls and attending events and meetings
  • Management and monitoring of tender and opportunity listing portals including G-Cloud & DOS-5
  • Implementing a new business ABM strategy
  • Supporting relationship development for strategic partnership with Optimizely
  • Assist with tender responses and information gathering
  • Sharing competitor and market intelligence
  • Updating BD dashboard weekly and produce monthly BD reports & KPI dashboard
  • Ensuring Salesforce is kept up to date to reflect your prospecting and BD activity

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Over four years’ experience in a B2B business development role
  • Experience in new business prospecting and pipeline development – based on long sales cycles
  • Ability to nurture and develop client relationships
  • A proven track record of achieving lead generation, qualification and targets
  • Experience using CRMs to manage opportunities, leads and pipelines
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with stakeholders and decision makers
  • A proactive and optimistic attitude
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and keep up to date with everchanging technology trends, competitors & best practices

Desirable

  • Experience working in tech/digital sales
  • Salesforce CRM exposure
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator
