The annual Netcel Charity Golf Day exceeds fundraising targets.
Great company, favourable weather and some outstanding golf all helped to make for a successful Netcel Charity Golf Day. Participants enjoyed a fun, competitive afternoon, while raising funds for our four nominated charity clients: Age UK, Enham Trust, Hft and UNICEF UK, and exceeded the fundraising target in the process.
We returned on Thursday 4th September for a second year to Radlett Park Golf Course in Hertfordshire. The format for the day was a Stableford four ball competition and with the fortune of dry weather, the teams of four set off after lunch in very good humour. This year, despite close competition, the prize for the longest drive was awarded to Jon Freeman from The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Rod Hamilton, from RIFS won the nearest the pin competition on the 11th hole and then went on to win the best overall individual score with an impressive 1 over par on the back 9.
Those who had an earlier tee time enjoyed drinks and a balcony view of later players approaching the 18th, before everyone returned to the clubhouse for a buffet and prize-giving. The winning four ball team included Sarah Staines from Touchstone Legal Services, Mark Robinson from Kimble, Mark Ames from Netcel, and Rod Hamilton, now with a hat trick of prizes. Photos from the day can be viewed on Netcel's Facebook page.
We have subsequently received many messages congratulating the Netcel Golf Team on a most enjoyable and worthwhile event. And we are already looking forward to next year’s competition on Thursday 10th September 2015.
